Somewhere around the time I became pregnant with Baby Dawes, the Life Rustic blog faded out of existence… I’d let the domain lapse, somebody quickly bought the site, and it would’ve been expensive to get it back.
So for a long time it was out of sight, out of mind. Until now.
I had just asked for a sign, some sort of guidance, in a prayer the night before, when I’m contacted by the high school where I’d graduated over a decade ago. They need an English teacher, they tell me. Would I think about sticking around for the coming year?
After settling on the idea of spending the summer in the Midwest, we crash landed into a cozy little house in Southwest Missouri. And let me tell you, we were in hog heaven. But before we knew it, summer was coming to a close… and we needed to make a decision.
I’ve never really been into making New Year’s resolutions. However, I have set some goals for the coming year. But rather than frame them as stuffy and formal RESOLUTIONS, I’d like to think of them as areas that I simply want to be better at. So, here are a few things I’m working on in the new year.
